A new era of MLS is here.

The real estate industry is undergoing exponential change. The physical,
political and philosophical boundaries of MLSs no longer fulfill what
brokerages need to conduct business. We are changing that.

Visionary Organizations

MLSs in the Mid-Atlantic region have united. We share a common vision that transcends the boundaries of yesterday’s MLSs. We are working together so brokers, agents, appraisers and consumers get more—access to more information, more products and more areas to explore and expand. That’s the power of us.

Bright was designed from the beginning as a completely new MLS, where participating organizations put aside their differences and came together to better serve the needs of their members. The following 43 visionary associations from parts of 6 states and Washington, D.C. participate in Bright.

Our Story

In 2015, a vision came forth from two prominent MLSs on the East Coast based on a what-if scenario. What if we transformed the resource-starved, fragmented MLS system that’s no longer serving agents and brokers-overnight?

The leadership at MRIS and TREND came up with the roots of an answer. They immediately began inviting more MLSs in the area to the conversation.

Bright was born.

We’ve built a stronger, less constrained, inclusive organization whose sole mission is to give professionals control over listing content and access to the best tools for using that data in their businesses.

We want to empower everyone to get more out of the MLS.

We want brokers to access better business and recruiting insights.

We want agents and appraisers to have first access to more data. And we want to give them better tools for doing so.

We want consumers to have access to information necessary to make informed decisions.

We believe working toward these goals gives us a real estate marketplace that is both more efficient and more successful.

That’s the power of all of us working together.

We’re ready to make it happen.
